Adrienne Davenport:
Founding President
Adrienne Davenport was born on November 20, 1989 in Springfield, Ohio. At the age of thirteen, she and her family relocated to Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Westland High School in 2008. She also earned a Diploma in Dental Assisting from The South-Western Career Academy in 2008. After high school, Adrienne decided to attend college, but college was everything but a smooth transition for her. She started out at Youngstown State University, transferred to Central State University, and transferred a third and final time to Wright State University where she ultimately graduated from in 2015. She earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a Concentration in Social Science, and a Minor in Sociology. During her college years, Adrienne often found it difficult finding christian friends, and endured a lot of bullying and exclusion. She experienced these difficulties at all three colleges she attended, leading her to realize that finding Godly friendship and support is a difficult issue faced by Christian college students at all colleges. Especially college students who were ethnic minorities. On April 18, 2014, God gave Adrienne a vision of starting her own Multicultural Christian Sorority with her sister, Kelli. Together they came up with the name Theta Mu Chi. Adrienne is a very outgoing and humorous woman. She enjoys cooking, live music, spoken word performances, and doing Karaoke with friends and family.
Kelli Davenport:
Co-Founder
Kelli Davenport was born on October 31, 1992 in Springfield, Ohio. She and her family relocated to Columbus, Ohio when she was ten years old. She graduated from Westland High School in 2011. During high school she was very active in Marching Band, Choir, and Color Guard. She was also very active in serving her community, and even won a Good Samaritan Scholarship to College for all of her community service efforts. After High school she attended Various Colleges including Wright State University, Central State University, Clark State Community College Greene Center, and Columbus State Community College. Like her sister, Adrienne, she also had a difficult time finding the right college fit, and finding a group of like-minded peers to develop friendships with. Being that she obtained most of her college education from Community Colleges, she was automatically excluded from joining most already established sororities, because they limited membership to students enrolled at four year colleges. Kelli often felt bored and lonely in college, and was delighted when Adrienne shared her vision of starting a sorority together. She is planning to finish her Associate’s degree in Social and Human Services at Columbus State Community College. Kelli dreams of ultimately earning a Master of Social Work degree, and serving as a Social Worker for troubled and at-risk children. Kelli is a very hilarious, feisty, and intelligent young woman. She enjoys writing poetry, singing, dancing, and spending time with her Godson, friends, and family. In 2019, Kelli went on an indefinite hiatus from the sorority to finish her education, focus on personal spiritual growth, and to continue to evolve in other ministry opportunities such as her Street Ministry "Project Warm Hands."
